We are so grateful for the media coverage of LukeFest. Luke’s story is sad, and yet when coupled with our fundraising goals, it is also uplifting. Thanks to our local media who are telling the story and helping raise awareness about the power of music and music education. We would like a full house at Alix Goolden Hall on Saturday, February 13, 2016 to honour Luke, the musicians who are playing and to raise money for music education.
Thanks to Jon Williams at the Zone, who interviewed Terry Rachwalski about LukeFest on Thursday, February 4th. He referred to the LukeFest Houseband as a superband - we couldn't agree more!
Thanks to our local Saanich News which ran the Tickets Selling for LukeFest piece in their December 23, 2015 paper and another story Friday, February 05, 2016 by writer/reporter/storyteller, Travis Peterson - LukeFest attracts powerhouse lineup.
Adrian Chamberlain at the Times Colonist wrote a great story in the December 23rd 2016 edition about Luke, LukeFest and the first Luke's Gift recipients, Charles James Appleton and Michael Wilford, both of whom are 19-year-old musicians and songwriters.
